Perumbavoor Azul Transports Private Limited is a municipality in the Ernakulam district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is the headquarters of Kunnathunad Taluk. It is noted for wood industries and small-scale industries. Ernakulam lies 33 km southwest of Perumbavoor. It is northeast of Aluva, north of Muvattupuzha, south of Angamaly and west of Kothamangalam. The town lies between Angamaly and Muvattupuzha on the Main Central Road (MC), which connects Thiruvananthapuram to Angamaly through the old Travancore part of Kerala. Perumbavoor lies between the banks of rivers Periyar and Muvattupuzha.
Its jurisdiction formerly encompassed the towns of Alwaye and Kolenchery, which were separated later. It has a Chief Judicial Magistrate's court and a Motor Accident Claims Tribunal.
